{"wiki":"en","slug":"linphone-app","markdown":"\r\n\r\n# Configuration guide Linphone® App for Android® and iOS (with Linphone® Free SIP Service)\r\n\r\nThis configuration guide describes how to set up the Linphone® app on a smartphone and how to automatically display the Behnke Station's video on calls. We assume that you already installed the app on your mobile device and we only describe how to register the app with the Linphone® Free SIP Service and how to set up the video display. We assume that you have already created a Linphone® account for the app and that the Behnke station has already been registered with the Linphone® Free SIP Service. A configuration guide on how to register the Behnke station with the Linphone® Free SIP Service can be found via the following link: [Linphone® Free SIP Service](Linphone-FreeSIP).\r\n\r\n## 1. Configuring the App\r\n\r\n- Install the Linphone® app via Google Play Store or Apple App Store.\r\n\r\n- Start the Linphone® app on your smartphone. Check **\"I accept Belledonne Communications' terms of use and privacy policy\"** and tap **\"Use Linphone® Account\"**.\r\n\r\n- Log in to your Linphone® account using your telphone number or user name and password.\\\r\n {width=270 height=600}\r\n\r\n- With the default configuration your App should be set up correctly.\r\n- If your wish to change or verify audio and video codecs go to **Settings** → **Calls** → **Advanced Settings**.\r\n\r\n## 2. Direct SIP calls (for usage without PBX)\r\n\r\nIt is possible to use the Behnke Station and the Linphone® app without a PBX or the Linphone® SIP service.\r\n\r\nIn this case, you can simply trigger a direct IP call from the Behnke Station to the Linphone® app. To set up the direct call, you need the IP address of your smartphone and the SIP port number of the Linphone® app on your smartphone. The steps shown above for registering with the Linphone® Free SIP Service then no longer apply (apart from setting up the video display). It should be ensured that the IP address of the smartphone does not change later on. So if you are using a DHCP server with your Wifi, please always assign the same IP address to the smartphone. Alternatively, simply assign a static IP address in the smartphone's settings itself. You can specify the SIP port number of the Linphone® app in the app settings by tapping on **\"Network\"** and deactivating the option **\"Use random ports\"**. Port number **\"5060\"** is then used by default. You can change it if necessary.\r\n\r\nHow to set up a direct call at the Behnke Station is described in the following configuration guide: [Direct SIP calls (for usage without PBX)](SIP-direct).\r\n\r\nTo call the Linphone® app, enter `sip::` in the Behnke Station. E.g.: `sip:192.168.178.86:37775`. If the Linphone® app uses the port number 5060, the port number can be omitted here.\r\n\r\nIf you want to call the Behnke Station from the Linphone® app, simply dial `sip:` in the app. For example `sip:192.168.178.7`. If necessary, also enter the SIP port number of the Behnke Station if it is using a port number other than 5060.\r\n\r\n## 3. Trouble shooting\r\n\r\n❓ There is no video after accepting a call\\\r\n❗ Make sure that **Media management** for outgoing calls is set to **early offer**\\\r\n {width=900 height=65}\r\n\r\n❓ Though Early Media is activated in the Behnke Station no video is shown while ringing\\\r\n❗ Some SIP services don´t support Early Media, some support only audio.\\\r\n❗ In your Linphone® app check **Settings** → **Calls** → **Advanced Settings** → **Early Media**.\r\n\r\n## 4.
